Marie-Christine sent this, and, alas, it’s sold. (But there’s plenty more great stuff where she discovered this, at Kitty woman Vintage!)
I was going to make a ton of dorky jokes about this gown (“it’s the ‘one with everything'” etc.) however really, I just desire I’d understood the lady who designed this (“Dorothy O’Hara” is the label, as well as she seems to have been a costume designer for the movies) or any type of of the women who bought & used it when it was new. I bet I would have truly liked them.
Of course, the other thing this makes me want to see is other religion-themed dresses. I’m presuming the Prophet, Jehovah, as well as Jesus are unlikely candidates for fabrics, let alone dresses, however surely there must be more-or-less inappropriate materials with Hindu figures on them, or perhaps figures of Greek as well as Roman mythology, as well as of program the flying spaghetti Monster … I bet the FSM wouldn’t mind being on a dress. If there were a religious-dress meetup, would the atheist gown be a pure black, or a pure white? The agnostic gown gray? would the animists have trees as well as rocks as well as plants as well as things? Leave tips for other (irreverent, impious, I know) appropriate prints for the different religions in the comments, if you like.
